Everyone who works in a kitchen knows that you can feel slightly uneasy working above eye level with full containers or baking trays. The adrenalin level rockets, especially if the container is full of hot liquid such as meat juices. And handling containers turns into a real balancing act when they are heavy.
At best the food only becomes unusable if the container is dropped. If there is enough raw product in the house, the customer has to resign himself to a longer wait. At worst an accident like this at work can cause serious injury, e.g. burns if hot liquid is spilt.
This is why professional and trade associations have for some time rightly been stipulating a height restriction on the top rack.
With the introduction of the world’s first SelfCooking Center® RATIONAL is meeting this requirement today – and, please note, without any loss of capacity! The height of the top rack in all SelfCooking Centers® is only 1.60 metres. This virtually eliminates any risk when working. There is an unrestricted view of the food, balancing with arms outstretched above one’s head is almost totally unnecessary. But this does not mean that the units require more floor space. On the contrary: the space requirement of the RATIONAL SelfCooking Center® is reduced by up to 28%.
The maximum rack height of 1.60 m applies to all table-top units (models SCC 61, SCC 62, SCC 101, SCC 102) with stands as well as to floor units (models SCC 201, SCC 202). It also applies with immediate effect to all available CombiDuo versions, where two units are placed one on top of the other to improve flexibility in the kitchen without increasing the space requirement: here too the maximum rack height is 1.60 m.
